Český Krumlov

Beautiful city that belongs to UNESCO world heritage will charm you not only by its historical center. The center is separated from the rest of the city by the Vltava river that flows almost all around. The lovely castle built on a rock gives you a great view from its tower as well as unique experience in an open-air theatre with revolving auditorium in its garden. Český Krumlov is about 2 – 3 hours far form Prague, therefore we recommend to plan the visit for more than one day.

Karlštejn was built to represent the Czech country in the ages of Charles IV. Beautiful castle later protected Czech crown jewels, that finally ended up in Saint Vitus cathedral in Prague. It is greatly attainable from Pension MARTIN because you do not have to travel across the city. You can get there by the car in aprox.25 minutes.

Telč, Slvaonice

These two town on the boundary of Southern Czech and Southern Moravia are a part of UNSCO world heritage and belongs to the best you can see in Czech republic. Squares in extraordinarily good conditions with Renaissance houses, that were rebuild in 15. century lure everyone to sit in one of the cafes in the arcade and let the fast running time a bit relax.

Karlovy Vary

The town lies on the west of Czech republic on the confluence of rivers Teplá and Ohře approximately 120 km from Prague. It is the biggest and most famous spa town in our country. It is often visited for 12 curative springs that rise here. But often happens that visitors heal themselves with a so-called 13. spring. The secret 13. spring is the world famous Bechrovka spirit that has been made in Karlovy Vary.

You can get in about 60 minutes by car to this very strange town. It was established as a fort which was to guard the routes to Prague. In the 2. world war it was taken by Germans who opened here a Jewish ghetto and concentration camp. From this camp they sent transports to death camp like Osvětim, Majdanek, Treblinka, Sobibor, Chelmno etc.
