Wenceslas square, Old town square

The pure Prague center is the place around the two most famous Prague squares - the Wencelas square and Old town square. History of this quarter is as old as Prague´s history and its roots go far behind Charles IV. Except of Estates theatre can we find here many attractive shops that magnetize every passer-by. As far as the time was checked by the Prague meridian at Old town square, Czech history and all big changes were checked by Saint Wencelas at the Wenceslas square – for example the Velvet revolution in 1989.


Prague astronomical clock

Every whole hour say you hello twelve Apostles in life-size from this Unique clock. It was according to the legend constructed by Mistr Hanuš in 1490. The legend also says that citizens of Prague blinded him because of the fear, that he will construct similar clock for someone else.



Charles bridge, Bridge towers

Charles bridge is probably the most often visited place in Prague. Legend says that this bridge reached so long age due to eggs that Charles IV. ordered to be added in the mortar. We are sure you will really enjoy a walk on this 700 years old and 516m long bridge.


Prague castle, Saint Vitus Cathedral

Prague castle is a monument you just have to visit when you are in Prague. The Castle is with its area 570 x 130 m is recorded in the Guinness book of world Records. The first castle at this place was built in 9. century. The core of the Prague castle is the Saint Vitus cathedral. Its architects are for example Matyáš z Arrasu, Petr Parléř or Josip Plečnik, who all are very famous European architects. It is the place where Czech crown jewels are saved. Prague castle and Saint Vitus cathedral belong to basic symbols of Czech republic. This proves the office of Czech president that is in the Prague castle as well.


Golden lane, Deer moat

A part of Prague castle is also the Golden lane. This small street is a relic of original housing. The houses are built in the bulwark of the castle, particularly in the archs of the rampart. Thanks to its size and a fairytale look is Golden lane unforgettable for all visits it.. At the other side of the rampart would you find Deer moat that originally worked as a part of the castle defense system. Rudolf II. Ordered to grow the deer and from this moment it became a garden that allows you to relax in calm.


Royal folly, Singing fountain

The Royal fully was built in 1563 and is the purest example of Italian renaissance architecture outside Italy. It is places in one of many Prague castel´s gardens. The best one to use it was allegedly Rudolfem II. who established here an observatory where worked stars like Tycho de Brahe and Johannes Kepler. In the garden in a front of the building will you find a Singing fountain that is supposed to bewitch every passer-by.



The Holly hut that is a perfect copy of the Holly hut in Italian Loreta. It reminds us of the house where Mary lived in Nazareth. After baroque reconstruction Loreta became a very famous pilgrim place. You can find here an exposition of monstrances.


Petřín lookout tower

This decreased copy of Eiffel tower in Paris offers you unique views of Prague. The building was finished in 1891 and large part of its age it used to function as a Czech television transmitter. It is placed id Prague Petřín park and by car it is attainable in 5 minutes from our pension.


Municipale house

The Municipal house is one of the most famous neobaroque buildings in Prague. The biggest hall is called Smetanova síň that hosts for example Prague Spring Festival. The Municipal house recorded twice in Czech history. At first was here declared 28.10.1918 the independent Czechoslovakia and then in November 1989 the communistic government met here Václav Havel – later the first president of free Czechoslovakia.


Jewish quarter - Josefov, Franz Kafka

The relic of biggest Jewish ghetto in Europe, Jewish museum and Franz Kafka attract thousands of tourists to Prague every year. Relics of the ghetto you can see, are 6 Prague synagogues, old Jewish cemetery but in our opinion the best of all is the atmosphere, that is the same as in many of Franz Kafka novels.


National theatre

National theatre in Prague is the most famous theatre in Czech republic. Neo-renaissance building from Josef Zítek is one of most important buildings in the country in cultural as well as in historical point of view. It belongs among basic symbols of Czech republic. The theatre is stlill operating and we are able to get you tickets for a play you want to see.


Saint Nicholas cathedral

This cathedral is probably the most famous baroque building in Prague. Its architects were father and son Dientzenhofers. Interior decoration is an example of vintage baroque muchness and artfulness trying to amaze the visitor and bring out his or her spiritual feelings.


Křižík´s fountain

Evening open air concerts accompanied by rhythmically spouting water and unique light effects belong among experiences you remember very long. The original version of the fountain realized famous Czech inventor František Křižík for the Aanniversary earth exhibiton in 1891.


Prague restaurants, Czech beer

After a day spent with sightseeing will you appreciate a rest in one of renowned Prague pubs. The beer that Czechs can brew best in the in whole universe is sometimes for tourists disproportionately expensive. In spite of it can you comonly find restaurants that offers – even in center – 0,5l large mug of Pilsner Urquell between 25 and 35 Kč. Lesser town

Due to long Prague history can we find here big number of architectural styles and also big number of different ways of understanding the city. The Lesser town is one of the most amazing Prague quarters. Except of many outstanding buildings, embassies and both houses of Parliament of Czech republic will you find here many unbelievable little squares, corners and nooks with small tortuous streets. Hardly anybody is sure how he or she entered and how should he or she get out, but you do not have to worry. The Lesser town honors its name and if you got lost you will soon find the way to get out.
